When students practice CPR compressions on a Prestan Professional Adult Manikin, they can see when they have reached and are maintaining the minimum recommended speed of 100 compressions per minute (cpm). They will also be alerted if they exceed the upper limit of 120 cpm as the yellow monitor light will flash rapidly.

All Prestan Professional Manikins come equipped with a revolutionary CPR Rate Monitor that provides instant feedback to both instructors and students. The visual feedback from the CPR Rate Monitor helps students deliver 100-120 compressions per minute, as recommended by Industry Guidelines. Progression lights signal the rate of compressions, ensuring they remain within the recommended range. If the 120 cpm upper limit is exceeded, the yellow light blinks as a warning to slow down. Instructors can easily and quickly monitor multiple students.

In addition to the visual CPR Rate Monitor, students will also hear a clicking sound when the chest is compressed to the appropriate depth of 2.0 - 2.4 inches, giving them a realistic sense of the necessary force for effective chest compressions.
