How can I get an AED for my school?

Lots of schools raise money in order to get an AED for their school. There are a number of ways to do this such as bake sales, sports competitions, fancy dress, penalty shoot outs and wear your PJs to school. There is also funding through the British Heart Foundation who may be able to support you in your goals to get an AED, you can apply for this online.

If these electrode pads are not available however, you can use adult electrode pads.

This is what you need to take into consideration when decided where your AED will be located at your school. Places such as the school reception area or first aid room are often great places to store AEDs. Keep in mind, you should also let your local ambulance service know that you have a defibrillator and where it is located for cases of emergency.
