Description
Overview:
The Theia Digital Pump is a part of the Theia and Eros dynamic pressure area care range, designed to offer flexibility and choice. It provides multiple system combinations to meet clinical needs. Instead of a traditional dedicated pump and dynamic mattress system, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has developed mattress and cushion options that are compatible with both pumps.
With a choice between the Theia Digital Pump or Eros Dial Pump, users can select the control unit based on their preference or cost constraints. The mattress/cushion options can be adjusted to meet changing clinical needs. Simply change the surface while keeping the same pump.

- This interchangeable system reduces clinical training on multiple dedicated pumps and dynamic systems, while also reducing risks associated with medical devices in use due to standardized training and competency programs. It is widely acknowledged that standardization of equipment and the implementation of a standard competency-based training program helps to minimize errors and increase patient safety.
- The pumps and surfaces all share a number of common components and spare parts, delivering cost savings while reducing the number of critical spare part stockholding. This contributes greatly to reducing the cost of ownership while simplifying in-field service with reduced product downtime. Service support staff only have to carry minimal spare parts or one type of replacement pump to solve problems in the field; this greatly improves customer service, minimizes client inconvenience, and reduces downtime of critical pressure support equipment.
