Water Fire Extinguishers

Water Fire Extinguishers are Class A in their fire tackling capabilities. This makes them an essential part of your workplace fire safety equipment.

Class A fire extinguishers are designed to tackle fires involving carbon based materials, such as paper and wood. They are the first port of call in office fires and could be the difference between fighting a fire early and an all out blaze that leaves your building in ruins.

You are legally required to have at least two Class A fire extinguishers on each storey of your building. This could be a Foam, Powder or Water fire extinguisher. For a Water Fire Extinguisher to qualify as one of your two main extinguishers, it must be a 9L capacity.
