ZOLL Pedi-padz II are intended for a child who is:

For patients weighing more than 25 kg, ZOLL recommends using adult defibrillation electrodes.

When Pedi-padz II are connected to a compatible ZOLL AED, the device recognises that paediatric electrodes are being used and adjusts its operation for paediatric treatment.

Designed for the ZOLL AED Plus

Pedi-padz II are specifically designed for use with the ZOLL AED Plus.

When connected, a compatible AED Plus automatically switches from its adult mode to a paediatric-specific ECG analysis algorithm and reduces the delivered defibrillation energy appropriately.

Important: older ZOLL AED Plus units must have paediatric capability to work with Pedi-padz II. Compatible units are identified by the appropriate paediatric symbol on the device.

Two-Year Shelf Life

ZOLL states that Pedi-padz II have a two-year shelf life.

The expiry date on the electrode packaging should be checked as part of routine AED inspections and the pads replaced before they expire or after they have been used.
