The ZOLL AED 3 Fully Automatic Defibrillator combines automatic shock delivery with real-time CPR feedback to help guide rescuers throughout a cardiac arrest emergency. ZOLL's Real CPR Help® technology measures chest compressions and provides feedback on both compression rate and depth, helping the rescuer perform effective CPR.

A full-colour touchscreen provides clear rescue images, text and a CPR cycle timer, while RapidShock™ analysis minimises interruptions to CPR when analysing the patient's heart rhythm.

The ZOLL AED 3 can be used on both adults and children using the same CPR Uni-padz® electrodes. Simply activate child mode when treating a paediatric patient - there is no need to change to separate child pads.

Real-Time CPR Feedback

One of the key differences between the ZOLL AED 3 and many other public-access AEDs is Real CPR Help®.

The technology measures the rate and depth of chest compressions and provides real-time feedback to the rescuer. The full-colour display includes a compression-depth indicator, CPR cycle timer and rescue images, supported by voice and text prompts.

This provides additional guidance during CPR rather than simply guiding the user through defibrillation.

Fully Automatic Operation

The ZOLL AED 3 automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm to determine whether defibrillation is required.

With this fully automatic model, if a shockable rhythm is detected the AED charges and delivers the shock automatically following the appropriate warnings and countdown. The rescuer does not need to press a shock button.

RapidShock™ Analysis

RapidShock™ technology is designed to analyse the patient's heart rhythm quickly and minimise the interruption between CPR and defibrillation.

Minimising pauses in chest compressions allows the rescuer to spend more time performing CPR during the emergency.

The fully automatic ZOLL AED 3 includes an additional stand-clear warning and countdown before automatically delivering the shock.

Adult and Paediatric Use with CPR Uni-padz®

The ZOLL AED 3 uses CPR Uni-padz® electrodes for both adult and paediatric patients, removing the need to maintain a separate set of child electrode pads.

When treating a child, the rescuer uses the same connected pads and activates the AED's integrated child mode.

This makes the ZOLL AED 3 particularly practical for locations where both adults and children may be present.

Five-Year Pads and Battery

Both the ZOLL AED 3 smart battery and CPR Uni-padz® have a life of up to five years, helping reduce the frequency of routine consumable replacement and ongoing AED maintenance.

The smart battery can report its remaining power status on the AED's display and can also communicate its status through an appropriately configured AED management system.

Always replace electrode pads following use or by their stated expiry date.

Wi-Fi Connectivity and AED Readiness

The ZOLL AED 3 includes Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing the AED to communicate with compatible programme-management systems through a wireless network.

When appropriately configured, this can enable remote reporting of AED readiness and failed self-tests, helping organisations manage the condition of their devices.
