The ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic Defibrillator is designed to guide rescuers clearly through a cardiac arrest emergency while also providing real-time feedback on the quality of CPR being delivered.

ZOLL’s Real CPR Help® measures chest compression rate and depth and gives voice and visual feedback to help the rescuer perform effective CPR. If a shockable heart rhythm is detected, the fully automatic AED Plus delivers the shock automatically after warning the rescuer to stand clear.

The one-piece CPR-D-padz® electrodes simplify pad placement, while five-year pad and battery life helps reduce routine maintenance and ongoing replacement costs.

Real-Time CPR Feedback

A key feature of the ZOLL AED Plus is Real CPR Help®.

The system monitors chest compression rate and depth and provides real-time feedback to the rescuer. Voice prompts can tell the rescuer to push harder when compressions are too shallow and confirm when effective compressions are being delivered.

An adaptive metronome also helps the rescuer maintain an appropriate compression rate.

Fully Automatic Operation

The ZOLL AED Plus automatically analyses the patient’s heart rhythm to determine whether defibrillation is required.

If a shockable rhythm is detected, the fully automatic version charges and delivers the shock automatically after providing clear stand-clear warnings.

There is no shock button for the rescuer to press.

One-Piece CPR-D-padz®

The ZOLL AED Plus uses CPR-D-padz®, a one-piece adult electrode designed to simplify pad positioning.

The electrode includes a CPR landmark to help guide hand placement during chest compressions and works with Real CPR Help® to measure compression depth and rate.

The CPR-D-padz® have a shelf life of up to five years, reducing the frequency of routine replacement.

Five-Year Battery Life

The AED Plus uses widely available CR123A lithium batteries rather than a proprietary battery pack.

Under ZOLL’s specified standby conditions, the batteries have a life of up to five years and provide capacity for approximately 225 shocks.

Paediatric Use

The ZOLL AED Plus can be used on children with optional Pedi-padz® paediatric electrodes.

These are designed for children up to 8 years old or weighing less than 25 kg.

Unlike AEDs using universal adult/child pads, the AED Plus requires separate paediatric electrodes when treating a child in this age/weight range.

Robust IP55 Design

The ZOLL AED Plus has an IP55 ingress protection rating, providing protection against dust and water.
