Description

The iPAD SPR Semi-Automatic Defibrillator from CU Medical Systems is a compact, easy-to-use AED suitable for both adults and children. Combined adult/paediatric electrode pads allow the user to switch between adult and child mode without changing pads, making it particularly useful in locations where people of different ages may require emergency treatment.

Clear voice prompts and visual instructions guide the rescuer through use, while CPR guidance, a metronome and CPR detection help support effective chest compressions. A status LCD displays the condition of the AED, battery and electrode pads, and automatic self-tests help ensure the device remains ready for an emergency.

The iPAD SPR has an IP66 rating as standard, providing a high level of protection against dust and water, and comes with a 10-year warranty when registered.

Adult and Paediatric Use

The iPAD SPR uses one set of combined adult/paediatric electrode pads. A dedicated selector allows the rescuer to change between adult and child modes without replacing the pads.

In adult mode, the AED delivers 150 J. When paediatric mode is selected, the output is reduced to 50 J. The supplied electrode pads are suitable for adults and children aged 1 year and over.

This makes the iPAD SPR particularly useful for environments where both adults and children may be present.

Semi-Automatic Operation with CPR Guidance

The iPAD SPR automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm and determines whether defibrillation is required. If a shockable rhythm is detected, the AED instructs the rescuer to press the shock button.

Voice prompts and graphics provide instructions throughout use, while the CPR metronome helps the rescuer maintain the required compression rhythm. CPR detection provides additional feedback by identifying whether chest compressions are being performed.

Easy AED Readiness Checks

A built-in status LCD allows the condition of the AED, battery and electrode pads to be checked without operating the device.

The iPAD SPR also performs automatic daily, weekly and monthly self-tests, helping identify when the device, battery or electrode pads require attention.

IP66 Protection

The standard iPAD SPR has an IP66 ingress protection rating, providing protection against dust and powerful water jets.

An IP68 configuration is available as an optional version where a higher level of ingress protection is required.

The AED operates in temperatures from 0°C to 50°C, making it suitable for a wide range of indoor and protected outdoor AED installations.
