The Powerheart G5 Intellisense CPR Feedback Adult Defibrillation Pads are genuine replacement electrodes for the Powerheart G5 AED, incorporating an integrated CPR feedback device.

As well as delivering defibrillation therapy, the pads allow the Powerheart G5 to measure the rate and depth of chest compressions and provide real-time corrective voice and text prompts during CPR.

The pads are pre-connected, pre-gelled and non-polarised, allowing either electrode to be placed in either indicated adult position.

Real-Time CPR Feedback

The integrated Intellisense CPR feedback device is positioned in the centre of the patient's chest during CPR.

It measures the depth and rate of chest compressions and sends this information to the Powerheart G5.

The AED then provides real-time voice and text prompts to help guide the rescuer towards the required compression rate and depth.

Non-Polarised Electrode Design

The two defibrillation electrodes are non-polarised, meaning either pad can be placed in either of the indicated adult positions.

This helps simplify pad placement during an emergency.

Adult Patient Use

These pads are intended for:

• Adults
• Children over 8 years old, or
• Patients weighing more than 25 kg

For children aged 8 years or younger or weighing 25 kg or less, use compatible Powerheart G5 paediatric defibrillation pads.

The CPR feedback device should not be used on children under 8 years old or under 25 kg.

Pad Shelf Life

Powerheart G5 CPR feedback electrodes have a 24-month shelf life.

The Powerheart G5 can identify the connected pad type and monitor the pad expiry date as part of its readiness checks.

The exact expiry date printed on the sealed packaging should also be checked routinely. Replace the pads after use, if the packaging is damaged, or once the stated expiry date is reached.
