The Phoenix Battery Commander BS1932K is a high-performance lithium-ion battery storage and charging cabinet designed to help protect people, buildings and workplaces from the devastating effects of battery fires. Lithium-ion batteries can present serious risks, including thermal runaway, which may be triggered by rising temperature, impact damage or faulty manufacture. Once ignited, these fires can be extremely difficult to extinguish, making safe storage and early risk control essential.

Built for workplaces storing and charging higher volumes of batteries, the BS1932K offers 90-minute fire protection tested to EN14470-1 (Part 1). It has also been fire and impact tested from 9.1 metres, helping demonstrate resistance to the impact of falling through burning floors during a building fire.

The cabinet is fitted with standard air ventilation ducts, protected by a thermal fuse that triggers at 75°C. This seals the unit in the event of an internal battery fire or external building fire. For added heat control during charging, an external extraction fan can be connected to the top exit vent duct for forced extraction, which is strongly recommended where batteries are charged inside the cabinet.

For additional safety, the BS1932K includes an external temperature display, giving an accurate reading of the internal cabinet temperature and providing early warning of potential battery overheating. The door is fitted with auto-closing and auto-locking functionality, while the advanced multipoint locking system helps keep the door securely sealed—even in severe battery explosion scenarios.

Inside, the cabinet is supplied with 3 heavy-duty perforated, height-adjustable shelves and an internal base sump. It also includes 1 surge-protected 8-gang power block as standard, with the option to add up to 3 further power blocks to the pre-wired control boxes.
